We made it home safe and sound thanks to the grace of God. The trip was very successful, too God be the Glory. Thank you to all who prayed for us. On a different note we are having a get together with the France team on Saturday July 18th at the school house from 5-9pm. We are asking the students to bring a side and we will provide the main course and drinks. See you then let me know if you need anything.

This morning was an exciting morning for the students because it’s our second to last day we will be here. We are excited to finish our projects here and to see how our work is affecting France. Yesterday was a very exciting day for us because we got to experience a French church. You didn’t get to hear about this experience because our wireless wasn’t working correctly last night and erased our blog. We are happy that we are making an impact in France and thank you for your prayers. The team is very excited to see our work being finished and is excited to go to Paris.

Today was a very relaxing day for the students. We only worked for a half day so that everyone could get rested and refueled. We continued to paint, clean windows, hang dry wall, and work at the other work site. Many students feel better after relaxing. We had a very delicious dinner tonight of Sheppard’s pie, green beans, bread, and another good French desert. We are now going to start a scavenger that will be very fun. Thank you for the continued prayers and encouraging comments! Written by Kayla Geiger

Today was a very productive day for the team. We started the day off with painting in the basement, painting doors in the basement, varnishing the front door, putting up dry wall, and today was laundry day. More students still went over to the other work site. There they worked on a fence and painted rooms there. Many projects are coming to their end, but still more projects are coming up for the students to learn new things and to challenge themselves. Many students enjoy Sondernach and its many beautiful roads to take walks on. The students take walks everyday, some very long and others short, but all enjoy their time outside in various activities. Tonight we will be enjoying a lovely dinner of grilled BBQ pork with grilled onions, carrots, and potatoes. We are very excited for our trip to continue to go great and continue to expand God’s kingdom. Written by Kayla Geiger.

Yesterday the students got to experence a World War I memorial outside of their village. It was “The Line” where the French held their line in trenches and We even got to walk in them. They had a lot of fun and took many pictures. Today the students and leaders have been working very hard on the house. They painted in the basement, cleaned up paint off stairs, varnished windows and the front door, and they put up dry wall in the front room. Five students continue to work out at the other house painting and doing other work to serve there. They will be eating a very delicious dinner of pancakes, eggs, and bacon tonight. Also we get to have the pleasure of a missionary couple to eat with us and have them talk to the students. Thank you for your continued prayers for the team. (Kayla Geiger)
